Why paint them every year?
Pets change. The puppy who barely fit the frame at ten months is a different shape at two years, and a different shape again at eight. The senior tabby with the extra grey at her muzzle deserves a portrait that catches her now, not the version of her from six years ago. A yearly portrait is the smallest version of a real family archive — one wall, one pet, one year at a time.

- Do I pay anything up front?
- No. The reminder + preview are free. You only pay if you love the portrait enough to hang it.
- What if I don't know their exact birthday?
- Pick a date that feels right — the day you brought them home, adopted them, or the day they picked you. We'll use that anchor for the reminder.
- Can I gift a year to someone else?
- Yes — the annual reminder works the same on a gift portrait. Same email every year, or route the reminder to the recipient — your call.
- What about pets we've lost?
- A memorial portrait doesn't need an annual reminder — the moment is the moment. See the memorial page for that treatment instead.
