Portrait of 2 Dogs Together — One Canvas
A custom portrait of 2 dogs together on one canvas is the wall piece that turns a two-dog household into a coherent family. Send one photo of each dog (or one photo of them together if you have it) — we compose them side by side, painted in a single unified medium so the piece reads as one work, not a collage.
Best photos: each dog looking roughly at the camera, similar lighting if possible, ideally the same season. Different sizes are fine — a Chihuahua next to a Great Dane still reads as accurate scale. The 12×16 framed print is the sweet-spot size for two dogs; jump to 18×24 if you're doing three or more.
Custom Pet Portrait With Owner — Faceless Minimalist Style
A faceless minimalist portrait pairs your pet with a soft silhouette of their person — the shape of the human is there, but no facial features, no likeness required. It's the register that reads as "someone who loves this pet" without making the portrait about them. Gets around the "I hate photos of myself" problem entirely.
The minimalist charcoal register works best for this — clean line, soft shadow, monochrome. The person becomes a warm shape near the pet rather than a competing subject. If you want the owner in more detail (recognizable but still painted), pick the "Yes — detailed" option in the quiz above.
Multi-pet & owner portraits — questions
- Can you combine 2 separate photos into one portrait?
- Yes — send us a photo of each pet (or a photo of each pet plus one of the owner). We use the strongest face from each, place them together on one canvas, and paint the whole scene in a single unified medium. If a photo doesn't work well, we'll let you know before generating so you can send a better one.
- What does "faceless" owner mean?
- It's a soft silhouette of the person — no facial features, no likeness required. Reads as "someone who loves this pet" without making the portrait about them. It's the go-to option when the owner would rather stay private, when the recipient is a gift, or when the pet is the emotional centre of the piece and the person shouldn't compete.
- Can you combine a dog and a cat (or other species) in one portrait?
- Yes. We paint dog + cat combinations regularly, plus dogs with rabbits, birds, and reptiles. Each pet is painted with their own scale and character so a cat next to a Great Dane still reads as a cat. Send photos of each separately if you don't have one with them together — the composition happens on our side.
